A DEFINING MOMENT FOR OUR DISTRICT

The World Is Coming.

$1 Million Acceleration Phase

Summer 2026 will bring unprecedented regional, national, and international attention as the FIFA World Cup and the 250th Anniversary of the American Nation converge in a historic season. For The Black Block Cultural District, this is a defining opportunity to elevate our businesses, showcase our cultural leadership, and strengthen our community presence on a broader stage.

The $1 Million Acceleration Phase advances strategic investments that prepare our district to welcome increased visibility with organization, professionalism, and pride. This initiative supports small business readiness, hospitality and workforce training through our development programs, coordinated cultural programming, district beautification, marketing visibility, public activation, and safety enhancements. It also strengthens stabilization efforts to support interns and emerging leaders who are actively contributing to the growth and preparation of our ecosystem.

Summer 2026 is more than a season of celebration — it is an opportunity to demonstrate the strength of community-led development, workforce preparation, and intergenerational leadership. This campaign ensures that The Black Block Cultural District is positioned to maximize opportunity, amplify local entrepreneurship, and build momentum that extends well beyond a single moment in time.

Your support helps prepare our district not only to participate in this historic season, but to lead with intention and excellence.

Keep Ownership of Our Ecosystem.

$15 Million Community Ownership & Stewardship Phase

The Black Block Cultural District has been built through vision, sacrifice, disciplined leadership, and sustained community commitment. The $15 million Community Ownership & Stewardship Phase secures long-term property ownership through The Black Block Community Foundation, establishing permanent community stewardship over the centric buildings and cultural anchors that define our district.

Ownership is the foundation of permanence, stability, and self-determination. By acquiring strategic properties under the Foundation’s stewardship, we safeguard against displacement, protect small businesses, preserve cultural spaces, and ensure that decision-making remains locally guided and mission-aligned. This initiative strengthens asset stabilization, establishes capital reserves, and builds a governance structure that supports responsible long-term stewardship.

The campaign also advances a structured community participation model that allows funders, business partners, and community members to engage in ongoing stewardship of the ecosystem. Through transparent governance and sustained partnership, The Black Block Community Foundation will steward growth intentionally — ensuring that economic progress benefits local stakeholders and that the district remains a model of sustainable, community-led development.

This is not simply an acquisition campaign. It is an investment in permanence, protection, and generational ownership. It ensures that the opportunities created today remain anchored within the community for decades to come.
